The EAG teamed up with Birds Caribbean and Fauna & Flora International to do updated surveys on the endemic Barbuda Warbler and the Largest Frigate bird sanctuary in the hemisphere in Barbuda, after the strongest Atlantic Hurricane to ever make landfall first struck Barbuda. The EAG wanted to use the opportunity to create something that showed the importance on conservation and the effects of climate change on the environment. Tarsier decided to create a 3 part documentary short series which showed how the survey of the two birds were conducted and the comeback that these two birds had made within a year of Irma’s devastation. The video also shows the unique activities the EAG created to educate the children of Barbuda about the endemic birds of their island. The videos were aired on the local broadcast stations in Antigua and Barbuda and educated the general populous on the Barbuda warbler which most persons did not know existed. It rose awareness and interest in climate change and how it affects our habitats in these small island states. The videos were also used regionally to show the work that the EAG has been doing in Antigua and bringing more interest to the effects of climate change to our environment in the region.
